Eingeleitet ist die Sammlung durch das Zonengedicht "Nocturno für Eurydike" über Hoffnung, Tod und Sehnsucht. Es ist ein Liebeslanggedicht, das der japanischen Sängerin Doji Morita gewidmet ist. Die Mikroromane der Sammlung kreisen um "Magische Mädchen" und deren Kampf gegen Dämonen der Nacht. Ein Mann wird erst zum Mann, wenn er sich in ein Mädchen verwandelt. Die Abteilung unter dem Titel "Folgende Gedichte" parodiert und kritisiert die österreichische Neutralität und den fehlenden Selbsterhaltungstrieb von Teilen der europäischen Gesellschaft angesichts der Bedrohungen vonseiten aggressiver Diktaturen. das Ende der Sammlung bilden zwei Lieder, die Cikán in eine japanische Sängerin verwandeln.
