Michal Horáček se před čtyřmi lety obrátil od písňových textů k poezii. Za svůj žánr si zvolil formálně náročnou villonskou baladu a na jaře 2012 uveřejnil sbírku Český kalendář. Kromě balad s kalendářní tematikou se ovšem nechal inspirovat i jinými motivy.
